CHILI PADI PORKY QUEEN IS WISER NOW

I wont consider myself older but prefer it WISER instead.Instead of the heart and McD that dimples said he will bring me for my birthday, he took me to a really a nice hearty meal at Market Place.

(Thanks baby, i knew it I cant be dressed just for Ronald the clown).

As we entered the restaurant, I kinda knew this place is really new. Plus its probably going to cost too. And for some reason, its going to be fine dining. AND that means, mamak after dinner............

We ordered the combination of platters, ala-carte BBQ lamb cutlets, salmon and beef tenderloin plus FOC wasabi mash and free flow of cold salad and bread. And you think I have space for mamak? You gotta be kidding.

We just decide to sit around and chill out and realise not only we ate a lot, there was no one else left in the restaurant. Hmmm. people do eat fast these days...

And dimples suprised me with my pressie as soon as I came out from the ladies. How sweet of him to run to the car to take my pressie..
I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I SAW THE BLUE PAPER BAG.

It was a Tiffany.

Well, my first and only Tiffany.....

Really happy though I was never a Tiffany gal but dimples feel every gal should have their first Tiffany.

TRANSMORFERS (intentional)

dimples has always wanted a Optimus Prime and lucky me to have Eunice who knows so much about toys. And finally, when the toy arrived, I told dimples that I got to meet him before the Redang trip with any excuse tat I can find. So I really didnt know where to hide such a toy and tot, ok I will just leave it next to Nemo. And pray he will see it.

He passed by not noticing it. :(

But saw it when he turned around. :D

dimples said,"I must get Megatron now." And I was like "You better not, cos I already ordered it"

When I came back from Redang, Eunice said Megatron has arrived. So off we go to collect it from her and how I insist to dimples that we should check out the toy store.

And we have to see Starscream and Shockwave sitting at the shelves.. as though calling to us to buy them :p And WE DID. Cos dimples wanted a whole set. After all, Takara/Tomy Encore 2007 Series 1 Set only comes in 4.

And the story has not ended yet.

Eunice called to said that Takara has just announced Set 5 & Set 6 to be released. Ironhide and Ratchet.

AND, the total of the set will be 55 and not 4pieces ..........

I DONT KNOW WHERE TO START

Yes, life has been great and yes I have lost weight.... (hahaha, NOPE, I HAVE NOT)

but if you look at this picture, I may have.... well, at least according to my all-time blog fan, Baby Bunny. "The face at least look thinner...."

I got so much to update. And just dont know where to start.

First, i have to write about my company cruise trip to Redang. First time to Redang and first time on Virgo Cruise. How was it? Ok le.... Since pictures paint a thousand words.....

Then of course, I got to brag that I got promoted to the next level in PM. It just shows hard work pays after all. Now I have to fight for my incentive trip. Ooohhh.. I can feel Ho Chi Minh stamped in my passport already...
If Hanoi has a lot of bikes, I wonder if Ho Chi Minh is the same??

Then of course, there was the paintball adventure with my colleagues. Quite a dangerous affair but was great fun. The bruises are no fun though and took about a week to heal.. Damnit...

And what about the Jacky Cheung concert which dimples got FOC from Galaxy? Apart from the slight drizzle, it was ok. Im not easily satisfied, I know. After listening to my favourite song, Jing Su, dimples and I decided to leave early before 30,000 people starts to leave the same time. Moreover, we were quite hungry already.

Ohh wait.. i wanna talk about Transformers and also my Birthday. SO guess you have to wait up for the next posts yeah.

What You Dont Realise

Many of you do not realise

1) The purpose of saving money should not be related to only getting married / holidays / a new dress / a new car. You ought to look further.

2) Saving money for your golden age or retirement is equally important especially for people my age. The younger the better.

3) It's very important to start building your wealth and not wait till you are 30. It's never too early to start.

4) That you should not be getting yourselves into debt / swiping credit cards. Installment plans are evil.

5) You ought to seek professional advice when you need and do not listen to people especially those who dont do anything at all. After all, are those people you listen to wealthy?

Genting Highlands

Many may asked, "So whats nice about Genting?"

Well, i guess its true that there are not much things to do if you dont gamble.

When we reached the top, it was feeding time. We were both hungry from the earlier adventure so we walked around looking for good food.

And we indeed fed ourselves well. YUMMY....

The following morning, I braved myself at the theme park. I have never sat on a rollercoaster my entire life. So sitting the Chair Spinner and the Cockscrew were a BIG BIG thing for me. I was quite a scary cat actually but I guess I overcome that. The remedy: JUST YELL ALL THE WAY.

But the rain has to ruin everything. Only when I was getting the hang of it, the rain poured like there is no tomorrow.

And what a rip-off. Paid so much for 2 miserable rides.

But I guess it was worth it to discover that I could do roller coaster. :P

And skating, snorkelling, swimming (yes i barely know how to swim).. i wonder whats next?? Bungee jumping?
Yikes.. I dont even wanna think about it.

Simple Lucky...

Last weekend was a good time to test my patience. After a heavy brunch with dimples' family, we proceed our journey to Genting only to discover the adventure did not take too long to begin.

Caprice decides to be temperamental.

Thankfully, it happened in the first checkpoint. Guess also cos dimples' reaction was fast enough to pullover. Plus the rain did not help much. After several calls to the mechanic and several knocking to the car, we decided calling the tow truck would be the best solution. Thank goodness for insurance. :P who says insurance is useless?

Call me crazy but I think the car has a soul of its own. You know how when parents beat their children and they start crying. As soon as dimples knock Caprice's engine or some mechanical stuff, the car starts to honk by itself. Yeah.. weird.... even the tow truck guy got startled when he arrived to get the car. And it honk again after we took this picture.

Guess its scolding us for making fun.... :P

So down we go, having to sit at the back seat of Caprice while being dragged back to Old Klang Road.

And you think, we will stop at there? Of course not. After leaving Caprice in the good hands, dimples' mechanic drove us back to my place to collect AJ. We have to go somehow. After all, the day was still early and why let such small problem spoil our weekend.... and up we went to Genting again. All in just one day.

Phuket in June

Being a happening jetsetter, I once again travel to Thailand. But this time round, I opt for Phuket. A great trip it was and we had lots of fun, eating, snorkeling, swimming, sun bathing, drinking, and most important a HOLIDAY...

Even the Doc Knows I Love GYM

Having sneeze whole morning, I decided no more procrastination. When I saw Doc, she said to me

"Gal, no partying for you yeah."

I said,"It's ok. I dont party or club."

She said,"Ok then. Dont go to the gym"

.. speechless...

How she know I was thinking of gym er? And No gym for 3 days ar?? Susah le...

Plus, I only tried the new release for BCombat for 1.5 times and BJam for once.. What about the other classes?? Drats.....Already CC is making fun of me in class for not being able to follow the jenga. What to do? Its damn hard lei... Double Drats...

Coliseum Cafe in Jalan TAR

One place that I always wanted to go was Coliseum Cafe. And dimples brought me there to experience it. :D The place is nothing fancy and in fact it is very old. Kinda reminds you of some pre-historic restaurant smacked and cluttered in between all the overly priced textile shop. What do they served? Asian and Western cuisine but most importantly they are famous for their sizzling steaks. You know that thing that goes sizzzzzzzzzz.......??? And you get the feeling that you have lots of open pores after that??

Though we didnt try the sizzling menus, the rest of the food was good too.
Dimples and I tried the below.

Oxtail Soup - a bit salty though Prawn Salad - highly recommended Fried Squid - nothing like your Itallianies squid but taste as good Mixed Grill - the all-in-one (lamb, beef, chicken, bacon, sausage, corn, tomato, brocolli, and fries) And they dont come cheap too. But certainly worth a try.

I am beginning to get lazy when it comes to gym. Frankly, without a gym partner, it is not nice to go alone.

Anyway, weekend is a time to feast and pig out and enjoy all the food that you missed out on the weekdays due to various reasons i.e. ur office area only serves lousy and overpriced chak fan, or u cant find good company to lunch with, or you basically too busy and always depend on overpriced tapau food or it could also be delicious homecook food tapau from home.

Over the weekend, dimples and I went to see BROADWAY PARODIES LAH! That's the good thing when you work for a big organisation that sponsors events such as this. At first, I thot of it as another musical show... but the casts immediately prove me wrong.

I am so glad I came for this. And you ought to if you can.

Chez Moi

A fine dining dinner out with dimples in Chez Moi, Hartamas on a Sunday Night. Pictures can sometimes be deceiving. The restaurant is simply breathtaking in the website and deceiving. See the importance of good photography and proper lightings. It makes everything simple looks exquisite. :D

Ge-Poh No More?

U know I haven't really blog about my thots recently. Mainly just the things that happened to me only. Cos I have no time for thots anymore these days. Over lunch yesterday with TT and Dougie, whom I obviously have not seen for months, I came to find out more stuff. Stuff in this case means things that happened which I was not updated of. And being the Ge-Poh me, I should at least know the latest gossip. Maybe work has overpowered me. It's true. I dont yum cha with the boys as much as I used to. My weeknights are endlessly meeting clients-to-be. Not that I am complaining cos some of the clients are friends who are I have not met for a long time as well. So it was a good time to meet up as well. Even gym has taken hmmm.... i dont even know where to position GYM. I haven't step foot there since .... I cant remember that too.

If you ask me what I think... I feel there is only so much a person can do in a day, a week or a month. Maybe being Ge-Poh should take secondary position now. Since my friends think I am a Ge-Poh and should be a professional integoorator. In fact, am I that? Is it wrong to show concern for a friend? Is it wrong to show that I want to know more rather than just the surface of things? Is it wrong to find out more? Does my friends see me as annoying?

I hope not.

Big Kids Skating

No one said anything about adults not allowed in the rink right? So Baby Bunny, Mr W, dimples and Porky Queen decide to "torture" themselves on a Sunday morning to Sunway's skating rink.

Yeah, you should be sleeping in on a Sunday. Not 4 of us though. :P Amongst us 4, Im the least experienced one and I am terrified of anything tat requires me to balance.. yes things like cycling, rollerblading.... (i cant do both.. or at least i cant remember anymore)

The rink was slippery and I was holding on to the railings until dimples said "It would be easier if you let go" And I was glad I did, though 2 falls wont stop me from skating. It was an enjoyable experience and even the 3 sifus had their virgin falls. muahahahahaha.. konon expert... hahaha

Though painful and tiring, it was still worth it. A good exercise to replace gym isnt it?

My Fair Lady

Never say NO to free tickets especially if each ticket costs RM350. So thanks to dimples' networking skills, we both were treated to the most boring play in town. Hahaha.. im just being MEAN. Or maybe I dont know how to appreciate plays with strong cockney accent. Even dimples fell asleep after the interval. Hmmmm... Imagine if he fell asleep on our first date?? hahahaha... But I must applaud the singing though the entire play was simply too simple and boring. Thank goodness we didnt have to pay. If not, I would have screamed.

Body Balance - will i like it more than Combat

For once (I think), i never sweat in gym. Yesterday Chelsea and I went for BBalance in Curve and man, was I impressed with the new Mind & Body Studio. But that's not why Im not sweating la. It was not a streneous class actually. Except for the pain on the thighs, BBalance was rather wat we Chinese people call "wet wet water".

Maybe the tracks Riyo taught was easier. Then again, how can I say? I never been to the class for ages. But I feel really relaxed after that. Oh wells, If I only find enough time to go to gym

p/s: And yes please go check out the new studio. Its very impressive.

PORKY QUEEN RETURNS

Time sure flies this year and the last time I took a peek into this blog was 2 months ago. I really have abandoned this poor "child". So its back to do some blogging...

Yes, so much have happened during this time....

1) Work still the same except Im doing "more" now and have less time for a lot of things but I guess the effort will pay off eventually.. :D I have a vision and I am working towards it. It's definitely not a dream. I KNOW.

2) dimples and I are still together. Still going strong and touching 5 months. :D We will be leaving for Phuket end June for a holiday with Baby Bunny.. muahahaha... my 2nd holiday this year... hmmm, where next?

3) Not been going much to the gym (only once a week) for BCombat or whatever class that comes along.. But my poor back has been aching and I noticed after BCombat. So maybe I should try less extreme classes like BBalance? That SUCKS. And not when the new release will be out soon.

4) Some friends say I am losing weight and my face looks sharper *blink blink*.. that's seems to be good news since my gym sessions are lesser these days and I am still eating like normal. I have a lot of feeding time k. Already, I am hungry now..

so off to tapau some food and I will try and return for more updates...

Sunny Day...Happy Day

What I felt? Surprised but definitely happy. Dimples know that work has been on a downhill last week and the sunflowers were motivation to keep me going. I know! How sweet!!! I guess when you least expect it, you will treasure it even more. My first flowers from him and he remembered what I like.... But i decided not to remove it from the packaging and transfer to a vase. Cos not like I have a big space on my table anyhow. :P Thank you sweetie for the sweet thoughts. Muacks.

p/s: i need to have skills to preserve my bouquet cos poor flowers will die in my hands...

I love being pampered...

I have been slacking so much that I have not been to gym regular enough lately. Well, cant blame da Queen when she has to make a living. But at least, I have tried Body Combat 31 last Friday. Frankly, the track was not that hard. Either that, my stamina has improved. Muahahahaha..... and best part is, some said I lost weight.. even though I haven't been visiting the gym....

Skipped gym on Sunday as I have an overdue appointment with my manicurist. Thanks to Baby Bunny for her giving me her spa pedicure voucher at Amante. And since I had to wait anyway, I added french manicure.

And this is me getting bored waiting for my nails to dry...

The outcome.. Voila.....

Guess its worth the 2.5 hours for such delicate and polished finger and toe nails... And poor dimples had to wait for an hour as I have not expected to take so long.

Now you know!!! Keep your bfs at home when you have your nails done. Maybe to fix your study table... hehe.. since I have such delicate finger and nails, I just watched the man in action.

I feel so pampered - all in one day... hehe

Queen of Gamblers

Before I forget, this I got to blog.

I haven't not been to gym on Monday for the longest time. Plus, I haven't done BPump for I think what we call half a year. So after BCombat, I continued my back to back class with AW in BPump. As usual, I kept to the usual lightest donuts available and even that is hurting as I am not used to it.

So fast forward.. after gym, headed to mamak session with TT, AW and JW. Was telling the boys how hard BPump was and AW had to contribute by saying "Heloo... the donut is only 1/2 kg each la."

But I know it was not. It was 1kg each. But boys being boys just wont believe da Queen. Plus, I was so certain cos I just use them and saw the "1 kg" there. And without hesitation, our dear gambler friend, TT offered a bet. RM100 worth of makan-makan if its not 1kg.


Well, I have nothing to lose since Im 90% sure that it was 1kg.


And guess who won???
